An Intro to SEO

Search engine optimization, or SEO, is a digital marketing strategy. SEO helps your site rank at the top of organic search results on search engines like Google and Bing. In short, you want your site to show up when people are searching for something that you offer––SEO helps make that happen.


But SEO is not a silver bullet; think of it as a long-term strategy that helps you build an online presence over time. It's a great way to remind people your company exists, and it can also help drive traffic to your website and convert visitors into customers. But it takes time and effort to generate results—you can't just set it and forget it.


The key to SEO is understanding your audience and the keywords they use to find businesses like yours. 


Then it's about creating content––writing blog posts, creating videos, and more––that ranks well in search engines for those keywords.


So it does require work, but it doesn’t have to be difficult. 


You'll need to make sure everything on your site is optimized for search engine visibility, including images, titles, and meta descriptions. And you'll need to create new content regularly if you want to stay at the top of search results pages.


It takes time and work to see results, but SEO can be a powerful tool for growing your business. Your customers are using phrases to find your business online—do you know what they're looking for?


When you invest in SEO, you’re investing in the long-term growth of your business in the digital world. While it may take some time to see the results, they will come.
